Today I decided to share a recipe with you all..when we were in Nassua this pat March we had a curried potato salad and it was awsome!! I have since made it for several occasions for my family and they all like it better than the original potato salad!!!!



Curried Potato Salad

Makes 8 (3/4-cup) servings.



Prep Time: 15 minutes



Cook Time: 15 minutes





2 pounds small Yukon gold potatoes, quartered



1/2 cup reduced fat sour cream



1/3 cup reduced fat mayonnaise



1 1/2 teaspoons Curry Powder



1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt


1 Granny Smith apple, finely chopped (1 cup)



1/2 cup golden raisins



1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro



3 green onions, thinly sliced





1. Bring potatoes to boil in lightly salted water in large saucepot. Reduce heat to low; simmer 10 minutes or until potatoes are fork-tender. Drain well. Cool slightly.



2. Mix sour cream, mayonnaise, curry powder and sea salt in large bowl until well blended. Add potatoes and remaining ingredients; toss gently to coat.



3. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Yes I make tons of Christmas cookies...all different kinds...I make for all the family and we use for gifts to friends during the holiday season!!

Well as my guardian angel daily....my mom passed away 4 years ago and I miss her every day!

Yes I have......about half done



Weekly Update

Its been very hectic....school for the girls school for me...homework, choir, homework, homework, study...cook, clean, study, homework.......

I knew that going back to school was going to be hard...but I can honestly say its kicking my behind!!!

I registered for next semester this week and it is going to be even tougher I think!!

The girls are doing well!! School and choir is keeping them busy. They are singing in the school choir and the church choir...in fact they have a recorder concert on Tuesday....

Thanksgiving is fast approaching and I am happy to say I am not hosting it...however I will be hosting Christmas.....I have planned what I am bringing for Thanksgiving....(its at Dave's Grandma) Instead of the normal turkeys we have purchased a turducen for thanksgiving this year along with a turkey for those in our family who refuse to try new things or only eat certain things...(come on we all have them in our family)
I will be making apple and pumpkin pies along with a homemade cranberry sauce my family loves and the veggies.....we always have a pot luck holiday in Dave's family...we always have a ton more food that we need, but that is what the holidays are for.

The girls and I will be singing at the Santa Parade in Mt Clemens on Nov 26..them with the children's choir and I with the Madrigal singers from church,it should be fun.
